REVEREND DR. NANCY FIELDS
The Reverend Dr. Nancy Fields is committed to the work of the church. As a preacher and teacher, she seeks to embody the commitments of Black theology and Womanist theology, bringing them more fully to bear on the life of local congregations. Currently, she serves as interim pastor at Eastchester Presbyterian Church in the Bronx, NY. She served as the pastor of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Washingtonville, NY, and Brook Presbyterian Church, Hillburn, NY. She also served as pulpit supply at First Presbyterian Church of Mount Vernon, NY, and moderator at Mount Washington Presbyterian Church in New York, NY. She coordinates Protestant worship at the New Jewish Home in Mamaroneck, NY. She is a member of the United Black Clergy of Westchester. She is a member of the Presbytery of New York and serves on its Commission on Ministry. Her community engagements include serving as Boards for I Am A Better Me, Inc. and the NYS Chaplain Task Force Workers in Harlem.

In 2019, she was invited to present at the Oxford University Symposium on Religious Studies her topic Practicing Civility Behind Bars. She teaches seminarians as a Union Theological Seminary (UTS) Adjunct Faculty and Master of Professional Studies (MPS) Campus Coordinator at Sing Sing Correctional Facility where she oversees the administration and functioning of the seminary’s graduate program, working closely with incarcerated individuals, clerks, other faculty members, director of the MPS program and administration at the New York State, Sing Sing Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison. She co-facilitates a chaplaincy training at Norwalk Hospital, where she is training as an Association of Clinical Pastoral Education Certified Educator. She was a member of the Association for Theological Field Education (ATFE).
Dr. Fields is married to Norman Fields, a retired personal financial analyst and Deacon at
First Union Baptist Church, Bronx, NY. They have one son, Norman Fields-Martin,
youth minister at Macedonia Baptist Church, Mount Vernon, NY.
